My view points:
The Android KitKat is definitely available for almost all Nexus devices created. That's their advantage it is because they are flagship devices manufactured by Google together with prime mobile or computer manufacturers like the ASUS. This is the reason why they are called Nexus - it's a trademark of specially offered devices by Google. The difference only among other Nexus devices in terms of software update ex: [Android KitKat] is their timing - more newer versions are subject to fast roll-out of updates than those who have old models.
